HOLISTIC HEALTH

WHAT IS HOLISTIC HEALTH?

Holistic health in paediatrics considers the child's mental and spiritual wellbeing alongside their physical health. Rather than treating symptoms alone, Dr Shah works with you and your child to promote optimal health by addressing their physical, mental, and social needs.

Essentially, your child's emotional health is given equal priority to other aspects of their development. Dr Shah strongly believes in this approach, which helps build your child’s awareness, confidence and overall health. Looking for the root of the problem, Dr Shah will assess your child's mental and emotional health in addition to their physical health, growth, and wellness.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Dr Shah will discuss your child’s symptoms, mood, behaviour, and eating habits to help her understand your child’s overall wellness. This will assist her diagnosis and treatment plan. Alongside medicine, Dr Shah may suggest yoga, better nutrition and regular exercise for your child. Better lifestyle habits such as a bedtime routine and less screen time may also be suggested.

Dr Shah will get to know you and your family to better assess all the factors that affect your child's health. This creates a safe environment for children and their families to go to. Dr Shah aims to be an active participant in your child's overall wellbeing.
